Meet the TruTeam: Megan Strick, Director of Client Services

Sure, you know the TruQC team are all hard workers who strive for excellence in everything we do, but do you know the answers to the real important questions (like what we drink after 5pm)? Now you do!

MeganFavorite STL restaurant?  “Niche.”

One thing most people don’t know about you is…?  “I LOVE food! I really enjoy traveling because I get to try so many cuisines around the US and abroad! I always try to make the dishes I have at restaurants at home, too.”

If you could do happy hour with anyone, who would it be?  “Jimmy Fallon. I think he is hilarious and I am sure he would keep me laughing the entire time.”

What would the title of your autobiography be?  “Strickly Megan.”

Favorite beverage (for those 21+)?  “Champagne.”

If you could be on a reality show, which would it be?  “Top Chef…but I would just want to be the food taster/judge.”

Favorite app to use in your downtime?  “Instagram.”

The majority of your time at TruQC is spent doing…?  “Training and supporting clients.”

What is your favorite part about working for a tech startup?  “You do a little bit of everything and have to wear many hats. It is so exciting to see the growth and experience the wins with our group!”

What is one thing you couldn’t work without?  “iPad…duh.”

Who in the office talks the loudest?  “Ross, especially when he starts doing impressions. He is definitely the loudest.”

What is your go-to site for tech news?  “Mashable.”

What do you think is the largest misconception about working for a startup?  “That because our culture is more laid back, we do not work hard. These are some of the hardest working people I know at TruQC!”

Name one public figure who inspires you and why.  “Kim Kardashian…just joking. I have always admired Sir Richard Branson and what he has done with the Virgin brand. He is an innovator and a philanthropist, which are two qualities that I strive to achieve.”

What would be your advice to those dipping their toes in the start-up waters?  “Work hard and keep your head down. Good things will come if you are persistent and believe in what you are doing.”

The best piece of advice you’ve ever been given is…?  “Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.” -Thomas A. Edison
