TruQC’s Ross Boyd presents at National Shipbuilding Research Program (NSRP)

We’re excited to announce that Ross Boyd, our VP of Operations, recently presented at the National Shipbuilding Research Program’s (NSRP) Surface Preparation and Coatings Panel Meeting. The two-day event was held at the 3M Innovation Center in Maplewood, Minnesota.

“It was an honor to present to such innovators and leaders in our industry,” said Ross. “Our product and, most importantly, our thinking were very well received. It’s really exciting to be a part of such a revolution in painting and coating.”

Ross was scheduled to present and answer questions for thirty minutes about the future of job-site documentation processes in the coatings industry and the advantages of being web-based. However, his presentation was very well received and the questions and answers took more than an additional 30 minutes.

Others presenting included representatives from 3M, NASSCO and the NSRP. In attendance were representatives from PPG, NACE, SSPC, the Bechtel Corporation, BAE, Concurrent Technologies, Marinette Marine Corporation, NAVESEA, the International Marine and Industrial Applicators and the United States Navy.

According to their website, the NSRP is a collaboration of the country’s shipyards that focuses on common issues with a goal of reducing the cost of acquiring, operating and maintaining Navy ships through manufacturing best practices, government and industry collaboration, breakthrough technologies and processes, and rapid and widespread implementation.
